Teddington River Festival
Teddington River Festival, held this year on Sunday 27th July, is a great community event supporting the Teddington RNLI Lifeboat Station. Based around Teddington lock and nearby Manor Road Recreation Ground, the festival attracts over 15,000 visitors and offers a variety of activities throughout the day.
Remember the fun of your childhood with duck races or experience kiffing with the Skiff Club. Teddington Sub-Aqua Club will be giving demonstrations of a ‘Roped Diver’ and the RNLI will be displaying their rescue skills. If a more relaxing experience is preferred then there will be boat rides from lots of different crafts on offer. Live music will be performed throughout the day, and the arts and crafts stalls will inspire you with gift ideas.
Look out for the ‘little ships’ from the association of Dunkirk, reminding us of the incredible bravery of those men and women who rescued our troops from the beaches. One of the highlights of the day is a special visit by the Queen’s Royal Barge – Gloriana. Don’t miss her ‘oar salute’ before she moors at Teddington Lock for your perusal. For a full itinerary of events, visit the Teddington River Festival website.
Not far from the festivities, the Rembrandt Hotel offers you various offers, all of which include an overnight stay with full English breakfast. Enjoy a mini pamper day to continue your enjoyable weekend, with an aroma massage, a facial and a manicure – all in the tranquil surroundings of our adjacent Aquilla health club.
