London Fashion Week 2016
London Fashion Week is one of the hottest events of the year, setting upcoming trends in the clothing industry from designers across the world. It is considered a highly prestigious event for the fashion connoisseur, and has been since its creation in 1984. Held twice each year, in February and September, it is one of the major fashion events globally alongside Paris, Milan, and New York. Over 5,000 buyers and members of the press attend the shows, with around £100m being spent on orders each show. In fact, its popularity has become so widespread that there is even a separate men’s show held each year! Here is a guide to this year’s fashion shows with everything you need to know.
The show officially begins on Friday 16th of September, but there are several events on Thursday 15th that you can attend. The main show on Friday will take place from 11am, starting off with a fleet of dazzling designers. If you plan on attending Thursday events, they begin at 8pm. The show will be held at several different locations, some of which are not disclosed to the public and are invitation-only. Here are some of the venues where fashions rising stars will take over the catwalk.
