Wimbledon 2021 is in full swing, and so far the famous tennis tournament has not been without its drama. From strawberries and cream to dramatic crash outs, the 2021 championship is as iconic as ever before. Despite reduced crowds and social distancing measures, Wimbledon is still panning out to be the huge sporting event which we know and love. In 2020, Wimbledon was cancelled for the first time since 1940, so tennis fans rejoiced when the event opened once again on 21st June 2021. At The Rembrandt, we are loving the tournament so far, and we are sharing everything you need to know about Wimbledon 2021.
Wimbledon 2021 Tickets
There is still over a week left of action at Wimbledon and if you are wondering if getting tickets is still possibility then you are in luck. This year, Wimbledon has teamed up with American Express to offer card holders the chance to buy last minute tickets every single day of the tournament. Tickets go on sale at 10am, 48 hours before the day of play. If you are an American Express card holder you could be lucky enough to land yourself tickets on Centre Court and No.1 Court, so be sure to check out their website.
Wimbledon 2021 Queue
The famous Wimbledon queue is a much anticipated tradition at the lawn tennis championship. Tennis fans would set up camp outside the venue and wait in line to try and get a ticket for the day. The idea of getting up at 6am to queue for hours in hope of a Grounds Pass is one of the most British traditions we can think of! Unfortunately, due to social distancing restrictions, the queue has not been able to go ahead this year. Instead, veteran Wimbledon queuers have been taking to social media to share their favourite memories of queuing for the tournament over the years.
Famous Faces At Wimbledon 2021
Despite the smaller crowds, many big names and famous faces have been attending Wimbledon so far this year. Avid tennis fan Kate Middleton headed to Wimbledon today and wowed spectators with her chic outfit of polka dot skirt from designer Alessandra Rich, classic white tee and navy blazer. Anais Gallagher, Anne-Marie, Rochelle Humes, Romeo Beckham and his girlfriend Mia Regan are just a handful of other celebs which have bagged courtside seats so far this year.
