Notting Hill Carnival 2015
From its first televised showcase back in January 1959 featuring a Carnival Queen, beauty contest, steel bands, dance troupes and the Mighty Terror singing calypso, the Notting Hill Carnival has come a long way to become the celebration of culture that it is today.
Taking place over three days, the festival commences on 29th August with a fantastic free open air evening for all the family, music of the Caribbean will flow through the night as national steel bands compete against each other for the best performance of the evening at Emslie Horniman Pleasance Park in W10.
On Sunday 30th August, all the family can enjoy the Sunday Parade, colourful costumes, music and performances and tasty food will be on show from all corners of the world.
Bank Holiday Monday brings the grand finale with over sixty bands, artists and acts bringing to London their unique performances which make Notting Hill Carnival one to rival any other international event.
