Taking place in the stunning and historic Hampton Court Palace, the Festival has a great line up of stars including: George Benson, Dionne Warwick and Van Morrison, to name but a few. It is also the venue for two spectacular Saturday night performances showcasing the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
On Saturday 14th June, the Palace Gardens is the stage for the Royal Philharmonic Classical Gala and spectacular fireworks display. The Orchestra will be performing classics from masters such as Mozart, Grieg, Tchaikovsky and Strauss. Guests can enjoy a glass of champagne in the gardens before the concert at 8:30pm. The fireworks display will follow at approximately 10:15 pm.
Another opportunity to watch one of the world’s greatest orchestras is on Saturday 21st June, where they will be presenting a special Midsummer’s Evening concert, featuring the beautiful voice of soprano Deborah Norman. Ms. Norman will be accompanied by tenor Noah Stewart, and they will be performing arias from La Traviata, Carmen, La Boheme and Madame Butterfly; it promises to be a truly magical evening.
The Palace is situated only a few minutes’ walk from Hampton Court Station, on a direct line to and from London Waterloo, which makes The Rembrandt an ideal place to stay. As well as taking in an evening of excellent music, why not enjoy a shopping spree in London at our well known Knightsbridge department stores, such as Harrods and Harvey Nichols, or visit Sloane Street and Kings Road where you can browse many independent boutiques. Culture and couture – what could be finer?
