Reviewed on 19th April 2024Surprisingly pleasant, quiet and spacious room with superb location at a very reasonable price in an area where I have previously been disappointed by the quality of hotel rooms. Breakfast was faultless and the staff were all very professional.

Reviewed on 19th April 2024I stayed here last year and thought it a bit 1980s and outdated , tired and old.
We love the Buffett and the location, Staff are outstanding..not sure we will come back though outside room 233 on the road there is a loose manhole cover and it makes a loud noise all night long as cars pass over it.
Maybe the city needs to know and do something. Good strong wifi
Bar man was a bit rude asking for a tip after serving us our welcome drinks
Bit old and tired
Very convenient to south Kensington station short two min all to hotel
Lots to f busses to Oxford street and other parts of London
Excellent Buffett and bar food
Clean rooms and bathrooms
4/5I’ve had better experiences
Reviewed on 18th April 2024I’ve stayed several times in the hotel and if I’ve kept on coming back, it has been because I’ve liked the way the hotel has treated me. None of the perks that I was offered when I made reservation were give at full when I got to the hotel. I couldn’t get in upgrade of my room; my late check out was limited to only 1 more hour and even the complementary drink was given to me (1) whilst we were two people staying in the room. In the past I’ve got two drinks as part of the offer.
5/5A good hotel with a convenient location
Reviewed on 18th April 2024The hotel was clean and the rooms surprisingly spacy., Good beds and a clean bathroom & tub. The breakfast was fairly traditional, also gluten free bread available, the rest had to be checked with the staff. A short walk to the South Kensington tube. It was interesting to see that you had both fried eggs and scrambled eggs but not boiled eggs. We received those when requesting, but at both times it was a bit disappointment. When requesting ”medium” boiled eggs they were really soft and hardly cooked. Learned from this and on the following morning requested ” hard” boiled eggs, and they realle were hard and dey. Different waiters made them, so their understanding of ”medium” and ” hard” seem to differ. Why don’t you simply boil eggs in the kitchen by chefs and label them ” 3 minutes”, ”7 minutes., for example.
5/5Wonderful property and excellent staff
Reviewed on 18th April 2024The property itself was wonderful. The staff will all excellent, every one of them. I always was greeted upon arrival. The concierge was great when needed. The only complaint is with the bathroom. It could use more shelves inside the shower itself and a fan in the bathroom may be impossible to add but would be great.
3/5A Great Base
Reviewed on 18th April 2024I've used this hotel whenever I need to stay in town a few times down the years - and it's a good base for numerous locations around London. The service and the welcome remain very good and whilst this was a flying 1 night visit and there was nothing that I can say wasn't up to scratch I think it may be time for a refresh (Sarova).
The room was clean and spacious but a lack of information guides and room service details etc. was a letdown.
The room service post 10 pm (I get it, it's saving) was a real let down too, breakfast, was standard buffet style but lacked any real flavour, to be honest - but look it's still a good hotel and one that I've been visiting for 35 years and will likely go back to.
Nice touch giving free drinks for direct bookings (thank you) Brilliant from reception and concierge - Thank you
Spacious. Nice enough but it was looking a bit tired and outdated The breakfast was ok but not as good as in previous stays and nighttime room service (post 10pm) is farmed out to a second-rate Deliveroo-type company - that is NOT good!
No issues

Reviewed on 17th April 2024Room and hallway were very warm. We were on the 2nd floor so we could not open the window for fresh air. We did turn back the heat but the air in the space was still rather stuffy.
5/5Very comfortable
Reviewed on 17th April 2024The staff were wonderful, especially in the dining room and the lovely girls on the reception desk.
We felt very welcomed, thank you Very helpful and professional staff
Quite cozy and another place to hold a suitcase as there wasn’t any room for the second case!
Two lovely little balconies in a very quiet street, yes so close to Harrods 😁
A wide array of delicious choices and excellent pizza
Very clean and well maintained hotel
Very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us
5/5Wonderful Hotel and Staff
Reviewed on 17th April 2024I've stayed here multiple times, most recently 6 months ago and will continue to choose this hotel when visiting London.
5/5Lovely hotel, great location
Reviewed on 17th April 2024We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a great location and the staff were very helpful.
5/5Centrally located, steps from the museums and Harrod's, I would highly recommend this charming hotel where the staff are as exceptional as the hotel itself.
Reviewed on 17th April 2024My sister and I stayed at this hotel, and we both said that we would return to it if our travels took us to London again. The staff were friendly, competent and accommodating. The room overlooked the Albert & Victoria museum, and it was exceptionally clean, comfortable and inviting. The breakfasts have it all, including the best French pastries, second to none. Every meal we ordered came quickly, and the food was beautifully displayed and tasty. It's a fabulous hotel in a quieter, stunning part of London- south Kensington. Thank you to all of you! Loved the proximity to Harrods and Victoria & Albert museum!
