Our chef will work with you to choose the perfect menu for your wedding reception. Special diets are no problem with advance notice, and we cater for children. All meat, except pork, is certified halal.

Canapé reception menu

Cold options

  • Vegetable crudités with an avocado dip
  • Cucumber wrapped tiger prawns with a seafood dressing
  • Smoked salmon, chives and cream cheese roulade
  • Mini Yorkshire pudding topped with roast beef and horseradish cream
  • Seared tuna with fine green beans
  • Parma ham and English mustard pancake
  • Cherry tomatoes stuffed with black olive tapenade
  • Mushroom and mascarpone tartlets

Hot options

  • Asparagus tempura served with garlic mayonnaise
  • Mini Teriyaki beef steak in a dark soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper squid with a sweet chilli dip
  • Goats cheese and sun dried tomato ciabatta crostini
  • Parma ham wrapped fig quarters, sprinkled with balsamic jus
  • Prawn and mange tout lemongrass skewers
  • Mini herb focaccia pizza quarters topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella and olives
  • Chicken satay with a peanut dip

Children

Children aged four and under eat for free from a children’s menu. Kids aged 5 to 12 are half price and may eat from the adult menu. A soft drink is included.

Sample 4-course menu

Starters

  • White and green asparagus salad, dandelion, pecorino cheese and balsamic glaze
  • Peppered smoked duck breast presented with home made quince chutney
  • Sautéed tiger prawns on top of a wild mushroom duxelles tart with lemon hollandaise

Intermediate course

  • Chilled gazpacho soup
  • Jellied consommé with asparagus and chives
  • Wild mushroom and truffle cappuccino soup

Main affair

  • Pan fried supreme of chicken, braised baby leeks and black pudding
  • Roast loin of lamb filled with garlic and tarragon mousse served with Marsala sauce
  • 8oz sirloin steak ‘Medici’ with creamy Dijon mustard, shallots, green peppercorn sauce and crispy Parma ham
  • Herb encrusted baked salmon steak served with dill beurre blanc
  • Vegetable ‘paella’ – a selection of fresh Mediterranean vegetables cooked with saffron rice, finished with olive oil and sun-blushed tomatoes

Sweet things

  • Mango and passion fruit cheesecake served with duo of fruit coulis
  • Bitter chocolate tart with blood orange crème anglaise
  • Raspberry roulade with white chocolate sauce
